Dear
2030,

We have a problem.

Only 16% of newly licensed engineers in Manitoba are women.

That’s why Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba is on a mission to ensure that 30% of newly licensed engineers are women by the year 2030.

30 by 30.

In order to inspire that change, Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba is proud to bring you the first in a series of campaigns that aim to increase diversity and inclusion in engineering.

In this phase of the campaign, we're giving public school students across the province the tools they need to realize systemic change.

How?

By giving them access to simple petitions they can direct towards the province’s largest engineering firms and educators.

What is an
Engineer?

Engineers turn ideas into reality. Starting with their imaginations, they solve practical problems with the tools of math, science, and technology. Part scientist, part technician, and part inventor – an engineer designs and produces things. Engineers apply existing technology to real world problems in new ways – or they invent new technologies that no one has thought of before. Our complex world depends on machines and systems to provide food, shelter, water, and energy; to move people and goods from place to place; and to make communication possible. Not only do engineers develop these systems, they keep them running and work to make them better.
