Looking Back Through Our Century: 1941
In 1941, the Engineers Wives Club consisted of 130 members who met once a week. In order to help support those impacted by the war, the Club began sewing various articles of clothing and blankets. Approximately 50 members worked arduously to sew items for the Refugee Department of the Red Cross. All of this was self-financed by members, and if required they would hold teas to help raise funds. Our members, family, and friends have given back to the community throughout our history and continue to do so today by volunteering their time on various committees and organizations. As we head into March, Association members will be donating their time, funds, and blood to Siloam Mission, Winnipeg Harvest, and Canadian Blood Services. See the event calendar to find out how you can get involved too!
