Looking Back Through Our Century: 1960
In 1960, the Association set up an Awards Committee to give recognition to outstanding engineers with the earliest known award handed out in 1963. Since then, the Association has regularly handed out awards to recognize outstanding achievements to Manitoba's most worthy engineers and geoscientists for their contributions to our professions and society. Manitoba News Release: Province Ordering up to One Million Made-in-Manitoba Reusable N95 Masks
After receiving proposals from across the country, the Manitoba government selected Winnipeg-based Precision ADM to provide reusable N95 masks for our front-line workers at a cost competitive with similar masks produced overseas. Precision ADM, along with other Manitoba-based companies, will create a reliable new Canadian secure supply chain to fight COVID-19. To learn more, read the full story. Investigation Committee - Professional Geoscientist Needed
The Investigation Committee is currently looking for a professional geoscientist (P.Geo.) to join the committee to assist in the review of complaints made about the professional conduct of members and to make recommendations for discipline based on the severity of the offense. Youth Science Canada Online STEM Fair - May 19 - 29, 2020
Looking for learning opportunities for your kids? New this year, Canadian students, grades 7 to 12, can now participate in the YSC Online STEM Fair by registering their recent STEM project by May 18. Teachers and parents can register to receive a bilingual Student Activity Guide that helps students of all ages explore the fair, identify their own STEM interests, and enhance their at-home learning experience.
