2025 By-law Proposals
After engagement with membership, through open engagement sessions and third-party focus groups, review by the By-law Review Committee, drafting by legal counsel, and further member engagement, Council has approved the list of by-law proposals for 2025. The wording for the proposals and background information can be found online.

Applications Open Now for Women in Engineering and Geoscience Mentorship Program: 2025/2026
Registration is now open for the 2025-2026 Women in Engineering and Geoscience Mentorship Program! The program runs from October 2025 to March 2026 and is open to women and non-binary professionals, interns, and students. The program is aimed at supporting engineering or geoscience students and interns by matching them with professional members who are working in a similar field. For a detailed description of the program and to register, please visit the Women's Mentorship Program webpage. Applications will close on Sunday, September 28, at 11:59 p.m.

A New Strategic Plan to Chart a Course for the Future
Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba has launched a new strategic plan, developed in collaboration with Governance Solutions Inc., to guide the Association's future direction. Through inclusive engagement and a comprehensive survey of members and interest holders, key priorities such as regulatory modernization, harmonisation and collaboration, and professional advocacy were identified. The resulting plan, approved in June 2025, sets a bold vision for guiding decisions, inspiring innovation, and reaffirming the Association's commitment to the future of engineering and geoscience in Manitoba. 2025 Volume No. 2 of The Keystone Professional is Now Available
The 2025 Keystone Professional: Volume No. 2 is now available to view online. Practitioners who have opted to receive a physical copy will receive them in the mail shortly.

Student Renewal Closing Soon
Student enrolment renewal for the 2025-2026 academic year is closing soon. Current student enrolments will expire on September 30, 2025. Renewing ensures continued access to benefits such as professional development modules, mentorship opportunities, discounted event rates, and the Competency-Based Assessment system. National Day for Truth and Reconciliation: 2025 Orange Shirt Day Events
Each year, September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The day honours Indigenous children who never returned home and survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. The Southern Chiefs' Organization is pleased to share information about activities for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Please note that September 30 is also known as Orange Shirt Day. Envision and PIEVC Credential Readiness Training - Monday, September 22 - 23 / Wednesday, September 24 - 25, 2025

Central Canada Mineral Exploration Convention - Monday, November 3 - Tuesday, November 4, 2025
Join the Central Canada Mineral Exploration Convention for the largest event of its kind in central Canada: The Central Canada Mineral Exploration Convention. Founded in November 2018, CCMEC was the first-ever industry-driven mineral exploration convention in Manitoba. The event has grown and now features two days of globally recognized speakers and attracts an attendance of over 700 exploration professionals, academics, government representatives, supplies, financiers, innovators, Indigenous Peoples, and community representatives.
