Mentorship Program Survey
The Association is planning a mentorship program to support engineers and geoscientists throughout the different stages of their career. To help inform our program development, we are seeking input from practitioners via this brief survey.
Volunteer Opportunities
Competency Based Assessors - Multiple Positions
We are still seeking assessors for the Competency Based Assessment (CBA) pilot. Assessors are those who determine if applicants have progressed to a professional level of competency in their field of work. This volunteer opportunity can be done remotely with no set meetings. While all members in good standing are encouraged to apply, civil, electrical, computer, aerospace, and project management/construction management disciplines are most needed. For more information on this opportunity, please see the news story.
Engineers-in-Residence Program - Multiple Positions
Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba has partnered with Engineers of Tomorrow to pilot their Engineer-in-Residence (EIR) program here in Manitoba for the 2021-2022 school year. Engineers will be matched with a classroom in the province to support STEM curriculum with experiential learning, real-world examples, and hands-on engaging engineering activities on a monthly basis.
Professional engineers, interns, or engineering students who enjoy working and sharing their experiences with youth are encouraged to apply. As there are many French immersion and Francophone schools in the province, volunteers who are fluent in French are also encouraged to apply. For more information about this opportunity, please see the call for volunteers or the news story.
