Notice of Special Meeting - September 16, 2021
In accordance with By-laws 13.2, 13.3, 13.4(c), and 13.5, the Council of Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba invites all professional members and interns to a special meeting (online). The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the 2021 by-law proposals in preparation for the upcoming voting period. Please note, there are no motions on the by-law proposals to be considered at the Special Meeting. Professional members and interns can register online before Monday, September 13, 2021. 2021/2022 Women in Engineering and Geoscience Mentorship Program Orientation Session - September 10, 2021
The Women in Engineering and Geoscience Mentorship Program, which follows the upcoming academic year, groups engineering or geoscience students with an intern (EIT or GIT) and a licensed professional member to engage in a formal mentoring relationship. This unique program provides participants with opportunities to network with other engineers and geoscientists, hone their mentorship skills, and ultimately create a community of women in engineering and geoscience in Manitoba. An optional information session will be held on September 10, 2021 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. via Zoom for those interested in learning more about expectations from participants. Towards the Positive Energy Building Online Course - September 6, 2021
This course on energy efficient buildings will ask questions about the environmental impact of buildings in Canada and the world, the role the building sector will play in Canada's action plan for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, determining profitability of energy efficient homes, and many more.
